In this study, the vertical distribution of soil mites were investigated at four sampling areas selected in Honaz Mountain National Park (Denizli) in the period of July 2003 - June 2004. Totally 3389 individuals belong to three orders were obtained in the sampling areas. The amount of the orders are as follows: 85% Oribatida, 12% Gamasida and 3% Actinedida. It was determined that the maximum population density was in the litter with 1167 individuals and th minimum population density was at the depth of 10-15 cm with 495 individuals.

Bu çalışmada; 2003 yılının Temmuz ayı ile 2004 yılının Haziran ayı arasında Honaz Dağı Milli Parkı'nda (Denizli), seçilen dört ayrı istasyonda toprak akarlarının dikey dağılımı incelenmiştir. Araştırma alanında üç takıma ait toplam 3389 birey yakalanmıştır. Bunlardan % 85'inin Oribatida, % 12'sinin Gamasida ve % 3'ünün Actinedida takımlarına ait olduğu tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek populasyon yoğunluğuna 1167 birey ile döküntü tabakasında, en düşük populasyon yoğunluğuna ise 495 birey ile 10-15 cm derinkilteki toprak tabakasında rastlanmıştır.
