s one of the most effective advocators of the history of ideas in Turkey and the reforms of Atatürk. This great thinker, devoted his life to the beauties of nature and human-beings, always made an effort to enlighten the people of Anatolia in every field of Turkish culture. One of these fields is documentary cinema.
After he had founded a film center at Istanbul University in 1954 with a group of scientists, he aimed to display Anatolian culture and the elements of art pertaining to this culture.
It was so aimed that this article would express Sabahattin Eyuboğlu's unknown identity as a documentary film- maker who contributed Turkish culture in many ways.
