Abstract (2. Language):
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are generally used for the treatment of pain, fever and inflammation in rheumatic diseases. The threapy of active rheumatic diseaese in pregnancy was important for the mother's health and development for the fetus. However, knowledge on the use of antirheumatic drugs during preg¬nancy is limited. Studies on the effect of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the treatment of rheumatoid artiritis have concentreated on aspirin and indomethacin. İnformation about the use of ibuprofen, sulindac, ketoprofen and diclofenac during pregnancy is limited. There is no evidence for teratogenicity of any NSAİD in humans. As NSAİD given during pregnancy have the potential to cause adverse maternal and fetal effects. Application of NSAİD as a part of arthritic or tocolitic treatment during the last trimester of gestation should be performed very carefully, since Diclofenac Sodium given during pregnancy, maternal effects include the prolongation of pregnancy and labor, reported adverse fetal effect of NSAİD include constricted ductus arte-riosus, hidrops fetalis, oligohydroamnios, ileal perforation and cyctic brain lesions, result in paranchymal degeneration especially in liver in postnatal period.
