Sialolithiasis is the second most common disease of salivary glands after epidemic parotitis. However in the submandibular glands, the majority of sialoliths (approximately 85%) occur. Salivary gland stones can be detected with different diagnostic methods. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is relatively a new imaging modality and uses commonly in dental implantology. In our study, it is aimed to present detailed the imaging of submandibular sialolithiasis that were detected by cone beam computed tomography.

Tükürük bezi taşları, epidemik parotitden sonra tükürük bezinin ikinci en yaygın hastalığıdır. Bununla birlikte tükürük bezi taşlarının büyük bir kısmı (yaklaşık % 85) submandibular bezlerde oluşur. Tükürük bezi taşları, farklı tanısal metotlarla tespit edilebilir. Konik Işınlı Bilgisayarlı Tomografi (CBCT), nispeten yeni bir görüntüleme cihazıdır ve yaygın bir şekilde dental implantolojide kullanılır. Çalışmamızda, CBCT ile tespit edilen submandibular tükürük bezi taşının ayrıntılı görüntülemesini sunmayı amaçladık.
