Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of in vitro this study to evaluate the microleakage performance of direct restorations or indirect composite inlays restorations applied to Class II cavities. 84 freshly extracted caries free permanent human premolar teeth were used in this study. The specimens were randomly divided into 3 groups and each containing 28 teeth. Clas II cavities were made in each tooth. Gingival margins of all cavities were placed 1mm occlusal to cement-enamel junction. All restorations were made with Valux plus (3M, ESPE) composite resin. In group I prepared cavities were restored by G bond+Valux Plus. Group II and Group III cavities were prepared according to common principles for adhesive inlays. In group II prepared cavities were restored with Coltene inlay system. Group III prepared cavities were restored with Tescera ATL system. Inlays were luted utilizing dual cure resin cement (ParaCem, Coltene Whaledent). All specimens were then finished with fine particle finishing diamonds, polishing strips (Soflex,3M) and stored in disti-led water for 24 hours at 37 0C. Specimens therocycled for 1000cycles and stored in 0.5% basic fuchsin solution for 24 hours. Then all specimens were cut by a slow speed diamond saw (Isomet, Buehler Ltd, Lake Bluff, IL, USA) in mesio-distal direction. Dye penetration at ena-mal and gingival marins were viewed at x30 magni¬fications and scored. Results wee statistically evaluated by using Kruskall Wallis and Mann -Whitney U test. At gingival margins all test groups showed signifi-ciantly higher microleakage than occlusal margins. (p<0.001) The least microleakage scores were obtained with Tescera ATL indirect system using prepared inlays. (p<0.001) As a conclusion, it was observed that Tescera indirect composite inlay system is a good alternative to both direct composite and indirect Coltene inlay system for the posterior teeth restorations.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu invitro çalışmanın amacı Sınıf II kavitelere direkt uygulanan kompozit restorasyonlar ile indirekt kompozit inley restorasyonların mikrosızıntı performansını değerlendirmektir. 84 adet yeni çekilmiş çürüksüz daimi premolar diş çalışmada kullanılmıştır. Örnekler her grupta 28 diş olacak rastgele 3 gruba ayrılmıştır. Tüm örneklerde gingival sınırları mine sement sınırının 1mm yukarısında olacak şekilde Sınıf II kaviteler hazırlanmıştır. Tüm restorasyonlarda Valux Plus (3M, ESPE) kompozit resin kullanılmıştır. Grup I de hazırlanan kaviteler G bond+Valux Plus'la restore edilmiştir. Grup II and Grup III deki kaviteler adhesive inley prensiplerine göre hazırlanmıştır.
