Abstract (2. Language):
Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate effect of chlorhexidine containing cavity disinfectant application on the microleakage of Class V cavities.
Material and methods: In this study, 80 extracted caries free maxillary premolars were selected. The teeth were divided into four groups of 20 teeth each. Standardized Class V cavities were prepared on buccal surfaces of each tooth with margins 1 mm below the cemento-enamel junction. In group 1, the specimens were not treated with disinfectants and served as control. Group 2, 1% chlorhexidine gel, group 3, 2% chlorhexidine gluconate solution and group 4, %0.2 chlorhexidine gluconate were applied. Then all cavities were restored with Xeno V adhesive (Dentsply DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany) and Quickfill (Dentsply, Kontstanz, Germany) and polymerized by light emitting diode (LED). Then, teeth surface were coated with nail polish as two layers, 1 mm. away from the restoration. The specimens were immersed in 2% methylene blue for 24 hours. After rinsing, the restorations were longitudinally sectioned and dye penetration was assessed under a stereomicroscope (30x). Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis.
Results: Between the control group and the other three groups, compared to scores microleakage statistically significant difference between groups that were not significant(p>0.05).
Conclusion: Results of this study reveals that of three different chlorhexidine containing cavity disinfectant there did not adversely affect the microleakage of self-etching adhesive (Xenon V) in Class V cavities.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı klorheksidin içerikli üç farklı kavite dezenfektanın sınıf V kavitelerde mikrosızıntı üzerine etkisini in vitro şartlarda değerlendirmekti.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada 80 adet çürüksüz insan dişi kullanılmıştır. Sınıf V kaviteler, her dişin bukkal yüzeylerine mine-sement sınırından 1 mm aşağıda olacak şekilde standardize hazırlandı. Dişler her biri 20 dişten oluşan rastgele 4 gruba ayrıldı. 1.
Sonuç: Sınıf V kavitelerde klorheksidin içerikli değişik form ve oranlardaki kavite dezenfektanlarının self-etching adeziv ( Xeno V) öncesi uygulanmasının mikrosızıntı üzerine olumsuz bir etki göstermediği tespit edildi.
