Abstract (2. Language):
In the present study, dental and skeletal changes in sagittaf, vertical, and horizontal directions, which are seen following RME investigated on the lateral and posteroanterior cepha-lometric head films ol 15 subjects. 10 females and 5 males. Both lateral and posteroanterior cephalometric head films were taken from each subjects before RME application and after the retention period of the procedure. Biederman appliances with hyrax screw applied to the patients for RME, In addition, acrylic posterior bite blocks were included to the appliances in order not to increase the vertical face dimensions. After the mean active widening period of 14.S6±3.87 days, the screw of the appliance was fixed with acrylic. The mean retention period was 6.06+3.55 months, and after these period, the appliances were removed. Pairedt test was applied to the first and the second cephalometric measurements to determine the changes regarding the RME. Statistically significant changes were observed at the measurements such as IMPA, S-Go, N-Me, ANS-Me, facial width, nasal width, maxillary and mandibulary widths, maxillary and mandibulary intermolar and rnter-canine widths, and upper and total face heights.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu analiz sonucunda lateral sefalometrik ölçümlerden İMPA, S-Co, N-Me ve ANS-Me ölçümlerinde önemli değişlikler bulundu.
