Abstract (2. Language): 
The seasonal variation of the composition and relative abundance of epipelic flora of diatom at five chosen sampling station on the stream Melendiz has been investigated between April-1992 and February 1994. A total of 105 species were identified, most of which belonged to the Pennales ordo.Although the Cymbella, Gomphonema, Navicula and Nitzschia species of genus main constitutes of epipelic flora of the stream Melendiz, few organisms of Anomoeoneis, Cymatopleura, Epithemia, Gyrosigma, Pinnularia and Stauroneis genus have also been recorded.

Nisan-1992 ve Şubat-1994 tarihleri arasında Melendiz çayı'nda seçilen 5 istasyonda epipelik diyatome florasının kompozisyonu ve yoğunluğunun mevsimsel değişimi incelenmiştir. Büyük çoğunluğu Pennales ordosuna ait 105 adet diyatome türü tanımlandı. Melendiz çayı'nın epipelik floralarında öncelikle Cymbella, Gomphonema, Navicula ve Nitzschia genusuna ait türler oluşturmakla beraber Anomoeoneis, Cymatopleura, Epithemia, Gyrosigma, Pinnularia ve Stauroneis genuslarına ait organizmalar daha az sayılarda bulunmuştur.
