Abstract (2. Language):
Childhood acute benign myositis is a self-limiting clinical state that forms after an upper respiratory tract infection which recovers by supportive treatment without any complications. It is a situation which worries doctors and especially parents because it occurs progressively and is a a painful situation limiting walking. Even though the disease is not commonly seen, it might be confused particulary with Guillain-Barre syndrome. Therefore, it should be well-known by primary care physicians and distinguished from other clinical cases.
Abstract (Original Language):
Çocukluk çağı akut selim miyoziti üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonu sonrasında gelişen, kendini sınırlayan ve destek tedavisi ile kompli-kasyonsuz iyileşen klinik durumdur. Akut dönemde, ilerleyerek çocuğun yürümesini engellemesi ve ağrıya yol açmasıyla hekim ve ana-babaları telaşlandırabilir. Sık görülmeyen hastalık, Guillain Barre Sendromu ile karışabileceğinden birinci basamak hekimince iyi bilin¬meli ve diğer klinik tablolardan ayırt edilebilmelidir.
