Abstract (2. Language):
Usage of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) as a pretreatment or post treatment have showed tremendous potential in order to overcome negative effects on the conventional treatment processes which used for the treatment of industrial wastewater that include various toxic and refractory organic substances, In this study, removal of phenol, 2,4- dichlorophenol solution by using advanced oxidation process (UV/H2O2, Fenton’s Reagent, and Photo-Fenton) was investigated. Based on the phenol and total organic carbon analyzes, it was found that reaction time and oxidant dosage requirement which is needed to almost mineralization and degradation of phenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol solution by photo fenton process is lower than other processes.
