Abstract (2. Language): 
In this study, by studying the general high schools in the education system, the costs occuring in these schools were tried to examine carefully. The institutional and unit costs in the high schools were to examine carefully. In the first part of the study, the costs in the high school were generally analyzed. In this part, the education cost and basic concept and definitions besides education costs were analyzed in different aspects. In the second part, the institutional total and unit costs were tried to be analyzed and interpreted. At the end of the research, it was seen that the elements of the cost give diversity, these costs may be different in not only public but also private schools.

Bu çalışmada, eğitim sistemi içerisinde yer alan genel ortaöğretim kurumları ele alınarak, bu kurumlarda ortaya çıkan maliyetler incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ortaöğretim kurumları, kurumsal ve birim maliyetler açısından ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde; ortaöğretim kurumlarında maliyetler genel olarak ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde, eğitim maliyeti ile ilgili temel kavram ve tanımlar yapılarak eğitim maliyetleri çeşitli açılardan değerlendirilmiştir. İkinci bölümde; ortaöğretim’de kurumsal maliyetler toplam ve birim öğrenci bazında uygulama çalışması ile incelenerek, analiz edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; ortaöğretim kurumlarında maliyet unsurlarının çeşitlilik arz ettiği, hem kamu hem de özel okullarda farklılıklar gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
