Abstract (2. Language):
The effect of lasers on tooth structure have been studied by different authors. Nd: YAG and C02 Lasers are already well established in destistry and oral surgery, the Excimer-Laser entered only the medical field. The effect 0/rod: YAG and COZLasers on tissue is described as vaporisation, but the effect of Excimer Laser based on photoabtation. The Excimer-Laser is a gas laser and the laserlight is guidable through an optical quart fiber and has a sufficient transmission through water. In this in vitro investigation the temperature rises during laser irradiation in root canals were measured. It was observed high temperature rises by the radiation with infrared lasers (Nd: YAG and C02 Laser). Radiation from an Ex cimer-Laser caused only slight temperature differences. The averages of the temperature increases are: Nd: YAGXa ser, 11,66"C, C02 Loser 5,68 °C andExcimerLaser 0,3°C. According to the Mann - Whitney - U• Test the differences are significant (p<O.OS). The scanning electron microscopic study demonstrated that it was possible to prepare root canals with Excimer Laser. Only by the speciments of Excimer Laser group were the root canal walls free of smear layer or any other soiling. The dentin tubuli were open and free of clogging.
Abstract (Original Language):
Her üç grubun aralarındaki farklar anlamlıdır (p<0.05; Mann Whitney-U-Test). Scanning elektronmikroskopi k incelemelerde sadece Excimer-Laser ile gerçekleştirilen kanal genişletmelerinde pulpa dokusunun tüm olarak ortadan kaldırıldığı, dentin kanallarının açık olduğu, smear tabakasının görülmediği ve termik iritasyonlann meydana gelmediği izlendi.
