This article is about the significance of role playing as a fundamental technique of educational drama in human life and education. The dimentions of role playing according to Bronfenbrenner's definition of role were examined theoretically and the key points for effective usage of role playing in educational drama were discussed.

Bu yazıda, eğitici drama yönteminin temel bir tekniği olan rol oynamanın, insan yaşamındaki ve eğitimdeki yeri ve önemi betimsel olarak incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. İnceleme, özelikle Bronfenbrenner'ın rol tanımındaki boyutlar temelinde ele alınmış ve rol oynamadan beklenen yararların elde edilebilmesi için nelere dikkat edilmesi gerektiği üzerinde de durulmuştur.
