Abstract (2. Language):
The present study aims at introducing UKEY (Uludağ University Research and Education Activities Management System), evaluating the system based on usability criteria, and identifying teacher trainees’ perceptions who are using the system. UKEY that is developed by Uludağ University Information Technologies Center has been launched during 2013-2014 fall semester at the Faculty of Education as a pilot practice. It is being used for educational and managerial purposes such as teaching, pre-service training, supervision, conducting meetings, and seminars. As UKEY is in a constant development process this study reports on its 1.0 version. Data related to the technical and managerial aspects of the system are collected via a usability checklist developed by the researchers, whereas data related to UKEY’s contribution to the instructional process are gathered via a questionnaire from the teacher trainees who used the system and who are enrolled in different departments of the faculty. The results indicate that UKEY can be used according to its purpose. It has a high potential to contribute to the learning process positively and increase students’ motivation. The results of the study are prominent to develop similar learning management systems and to improve blended learning activities that are carried on via such systems.
Abstract (Original Language):
Elde edilen sonuçlar UKEY’in amaca uygun biçimde kullanılabilir durumda olduğunu, öğrenci motivasyonunu olumlu yönde etkilediğini ve eğitim sürecine olumlu katkıda bulunma potansiyelinin oldukça yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir.
