An activated clay was used as adsorbent for the adsorption of astrozone red from aqueous solution.The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm constants were determined and the effects of contact time, initial concentration and particle size were studied. The effect of temperature on the adsorption was examined and the thermodynamic parameters were determined. Besides the batch studies, the adsorption of astrozon red was studied using fixd bed column. The effect of solution rate on the adsorption capacity was also studied.

Sulu çözeltilerden astrozone red adsorpsiyonu için adsorbent olarak aktifleştirilmiş bentonit kullanıldı. Langmuir ve Freundlich izoterm sabitleri belirlendi ve temas süresi, başlangıç konsantrasyonu ve tanecik boyutu etkileri incelendi. Adsorpsiyon üzerine sıcaklık etkisi incelendi ve termodinamik parametreler belirlendi. Kesikli çalışmaların yanında, astrozon red adsorpsiyonu sabit yataklı kolon kullanılarak çalışıldı. Çözelti akış hızının adsorpsiyon kapasitesi üzerine etkisi incelendi.
