This paper proposes the design and implementation of high gain array antenna suitable for GSM1800 and UMTS base stations. For this purpose, previously developed wideband, dual polarised antenna module has been used as the basic element of array antenna. The array antenna structure is designed, simulated, manufactured and measured. Network parameters (S-parameters) and radiation characteristics (pattern, gain) of the array antenna have been investigated. The operation bandwidth spans GSM1800 (1710-1880 Mhz) and UMTS (1910-2170 Mhz) bands. The simulations show good agreement with the measurement results that the array antenna has return losses of less than -15 dB and the channel isolation between ± 45° linearly polarised channels is below -25 dB within the operation band. Azimuth and elevation half power beamwidths (HPBW) are 63° and 7° respectively. Gain is around 18 dBi.

Bu çalışmada, GSM1800 ve UMTS baz istasyonlarında kullanılabilecek dizi anten tasarlanmış ve uygulaması yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, daha önce geliştirilmiş olan genişbandlı, çift polarizasyonlu anten modülü, dizi antenin temel elemanı olarak kullanılmıştır. Dizi antenin tasarımı, benzetimi, prototip üretimi ve ölçümleri yapılmış, Sparametreleri ve ışıma karakteristikleri (örüntü, kazanç) incelenmiştir. Antenin operasyon bandı GSM1800 (1710 - 1880 Mhz) ve UMTS (1910 - 2170 Mhz) bandlarını kapsamaktadır. Benzetimler ve ölçümler uyumlu olup; geri dönme kaybının -15 dB’den, ± 45° lineer polarizasyon kanallar arasındaki izolasyonun -25 dB’den düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Yatay ve dikey düzlemde yarım-güç hüzme genişlikleri (HPBW) sırasıyla 63° ve 7°’dir. Kazanç yaklaşık olarak 18 dBi’dır.
