Whistleblowing is expressed that disclosure of organizational misconduct where he/she experience or observed of organization member to the within or outside persons or institutions which have authority and stopping strength of these misconducts. Prosocial behaviors are the behaviors of when organization member are performed of organizational role towards whom one interacts and making for their benefits. In this study, it is evaluated that whistleblowing behavior could accepted a prosocial behavior or not. In the study, descriptions about whistleblowing and whistleblowers firstly take place. Finally, whistleblowing was evaluated in terms of prosocial behaviors.According to this, the most significant point for accepting whistleblowing as PB is motivation that starting to move whistleblower. Motivations caused to whistleblowing were determined as ethical and moral reasons, legal obligations, personal interest, altruism, state interest and organization interest. The other point at whistleblowing accepted as PB is result of whistleblowing. If the whistleblowing caused a positive result for anyone's interest that interacting parts, it could be as PB.

İfşa, örgüt üyesinin örgütünde gözlemlediği veya kendisinin yaşadığı örgütsel usulsüzlükleri, bu usulsüzlükleri durdurma gücü ve yetkisine sahip olan örgüt içindeki veya örgüt dışındaki kişi veya kurumlara bildirilmesini ifade eder. Prososyal davranışlar (PD) ise örgüt üyesinin örgütsel rolünü gerçekleştirirken etkileşimde bulunduğu kesimlere yönelik ve onların çıkarı için yapılan davranışlardır. Bu çalışmada ifşa davranışının PD olarak kabul edilip edilemeyeceği değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle ifşa ve ifşacı ile ilgili açıklamalara yer verilmiştir. PD ile ilgili açıklamalar daha sonra yer almaktadır. Son olarak ise ifşa PD açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Buna göre, ifşanın PD olarak kabul edilmesinde en önemli nokta ifşacıyı harekete geçiren güdüdür. İfşaya neden olan güdüler; etik ve ahlaki nedenler, yasal zorunluluklar, kişisel çıkar, özgecilik, devlet çıkarı ve örgüt çıkarı olarak belirlenmiştir. İfşanın PD olarak kabul edilmesinde diğer nokta ise ifşanın sonucudur. İfşa, etkileşimde bulunulan kesimlerden herhangi birinin çıkarı için olumlu bir sonuca neden olmuşsa ifşa PD olarak kabul edilebilecektir.
