Theological aspect of Dahriyya
In this study, which deals with the dahriyya according to Islamic belief, an etymological
analysis of the term dahr will be discussed first. Secondly, we shall identify the Qur’anic
verses and prophetic saying in which the derivatives of the word dahr occur. Thirdly we
present views and remarks of leading kalam-scholars and overview the positions held by
various Muslim sects over the dahriyya.
