Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this paper is to investigate determinants of the number
of insured people in Turkey for the 1970–2004 periods. A cointegration
analysis of a multivariate system of equations is applied in order to
empirically estimate the long–run relationship among the determinants
of insured people. The results indicate that GNP and population found
to assert a positive effect on the insured people. Whereas, unemployed
people have negative effect on the active insured people in Turkey.

Bu çalısmada, Türkiye’de aktif sigortalı sayısını belirleyen
faktörlerin neler olduğu incelenmistir. Değiskenler arasındaki
esbütünlesme ve uzun dönemli iliskinin test edilmesi için 1970–2004
yılları arasındaki veriler kullanılmıstır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre aktif
nüfus sayısı ve GSMH ve dolayısıyla kisi basına düsen gelir artıkça aktif
sigortalı sayısında bir artıs meydan gelmektedir. Uzun dönemde issiz
sayısı ile aktif sigortalı sayısı arasında negatif bir iliski var.
