Abstract (2. Language): 
This research has been carried out in order to examine the relationship between parents’ self -esteem and students’ self - esteem who attend high school 2 nd grade having different programmes. The research sample are high schools 2 nd grade students attending Kırşehir city center high schools (Vocational, Normal, Super-Anatolian High School) and their parent. In order to measure the students’ and parents’ self - esteem level, Self - esteem Inventory has been used. According to the results of the research; the existence of a meaningful relationship between students’ self-esteem according to their school types and mothers’ self-esteem and mothers’ work sitaution has been found out. Between students’ self - esteem according to the school types and father’ self -esteem, mothers’ education level, fathers’ education level, relation hasn’t been found out.

Bu araştırma Farklı eğitim programlarına sahip öğrenim kurumlarına devam eden Lise II. sınıf öğrencilerinin benlik saygısı ile Anne- Babalarının Benlik saygısı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Kırşehir ili merkez liselerinde (Meslek, Düz ve Anadolu-Fen liseleri) öğrenimine devam eden lise 2.sınıf öğrencileri ve Anne-Babalarından oluşmuştur. Öğrencilerin ve Anne-Babalarının benlik saygı düzeyini ölçmek için “Benlik Saygısı Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada; ergenlerin okul türlerine göre benlik saygıları ile annelerinin benlik saygısı ve annelerinin çalışma durumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Ergenlerin okul türlerine göre benlik saygısı ile babalarının benlik saygısı, babanın öğrenim durumu, annenin öğrenim durumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmamıştır.
