It has been emphasized that integrated education , which is identified as the form of education in which the
handicapped children are educated in the school of normally developing children, is useful in many ways both for the
handicapped child and for his/her environment. However, a set of studies have to be made for this.These studies are
described as preparing parents, teachers , normally developing children , handicapped children and the school staff
for integrated education. In addition, for the integrated education to be effective, it is necessary that the individuals
taking part in this practice should form a network of communation.Because of these reasons, it has been aimed to
secure that the necessary importance is given to this subject.

Engelli çocukların, normal gelişim gösteren çocukların devam ettiği eğitim ortamlarında eğitilmesi
şeklinde tanımlanan entegre eğitimin hem engelli çocuğa hem de çevresine birçok yararı olduğu vurgulanmaktadır.
Ancak, bunun için birtakım çalışmaların yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmalar; anne-babaların, öğretmenlerin,
normal gelişim gösteren çocukların, engelli çocukların ve okul personelinin entegre eğitimine hazırlanması şeklinde
sıralanmaktadır. Ayrıca; entegre eğitimin etkili olabilmesi için, bu uygulamada yer alan bireylerin işbirliği yaparak
bir iletişim ağı oluşturmaları gerekmektedir. Bu nedenlerden dolayı konuya gereken önemin verilerek ayrıntılı bir
şekilde irdelenmesi gerekmektedir.
