Abstract (2. Language): 
The relationship of Judaism and Christianity is can be defined as complex both historically and theologically. In this case this article focuses on only the concept of 'Covenant'in the Old and New Testament. Both Jews and Christians see themselves as God's choosen people in the context of 'Covenant'. But what links them also divides them. In this sense some declarations are considerable during the last period of Christian tradition. For instance, Pope John Paul II has used the term of the 'Unabrogated Covenant' and made it the foundation of the redefinition of the relationship between the both religion. As a result in the context of that concept it can be defined that Jews and Christians are different but dependent upon one another for he sake of their invidual idendity

Yahudi ve Hıristiyanlık arasındaki ilişki hem tarihi açıdan hem de teolojik açıdan karmaşık olarak tanımlanabilir. Bu nedenle bu makalede sadece Eski ve Yeni Ahit'te geçen 'Ahit' kavramını ele alınacaktır. Bilindiği gibi gerek Yahudiler ve gerekse de Hıristiyanlar 'Ahit' bağlamında kendilerini 'Tanrının Seçkin İnsanları' olarak tanımlamaktadır. Ancak birbirlerini ortak noktada buluşturan bu bağ, aynı zamanda birini diğerine göre tanımlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda Hıristiyanlık dünyasında özellikle son dönemlerde yapılan açıklamalar oldukça önem taşımaktadır. Mesela: Papa II. John Paul, Sonlandırılmamış Ahit" terimini kullanarak her iki din arasındaki ilişkinin yeniden tanımlanması sürecine oldukça önemli bir ivme kazandırmıştır. Dolayısıyla söz konusu kavram ekseninde Yahudi ve Hıristiyanların farklı din müntesipleri olmasına/algılanmasına rağmen kendi bireysel kimliklerinin gerçekliği ve aynı zamanda geleceği adına diğerine bağımlı oldukları ifade edilebilir.
