Abstract (2. Language): 
Recently, the dwarfing rootstock used common for apple, cherry, pear and plum have been developed. Dwarfing has presented alot of opportunities such as high yield, fruit quality, precocity and easier cultural practises to growers. For this reason, dwarfing mechanism has been tried to explain by studies carried out throughout world. Thus, obtaining of dwarfing rootstock of alot of species will be possible. In the light of present studies, it has been discussed that dwarfing occured from some factors such as root system, stock, bark, nutrient up take and transportation, growth regulators, fenols and evironment condition. In the study, this subject will be discussed.

Günümüzde elma, kiraz, armut, erik vb. birçok türde yaygın olarak kullanılan bodur anaçlar geliştirilmiştir. Bodurluk, meyve yetiştiricilerine erken meyve yatma, kültürel işlemleri kolaylaştırma, kaliteyi artırma vb. birçok olanağı sunmaktadır. Bu yüzden bugün dünyada anaçlar üzerine yapılan çalışmalarda bodurluk mekanizması aydınlatılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Bu şekilde pek çok türde bodur anaçların elde edilmesi mümkün olabilecektir. Mevcut çalışmalar ışığında bodurluğun kök sistemi, anaç ve ara anaç, kabuk, besin elementi alımı ve kullanımı, büyümeyi düzenleyici maddeler, fenoller, taşıma ve çevre şartları gibi faktörlerden kaynaklandığı tartışılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, konu üzerinde yapılan tartışmalar ortaya konmuştur.
