Abstract (2. Language):
Survey to determine the causal agent of black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris) in white head cabbage (Brasicca oleracea var. capitata) growing areas in Bafra Plain was conducted during the years of 2003-2004. In the survey, ten isolates were identified as X. campestris pv. campestris. Pathogenicity, tobacco hypersensitivity and biochemical tests were used for the diagnosis of the identified isolates. The highest disease severity rate (41.6%) was determined at Kuscular Village.
