Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this study was to evaluate the long term sealing ability of MTA, Super EBA and amalgam for the repair of furcation perforation in vitro. For this purpose 51 molar teeth were used. 45 teeth were used in experimental groups whereas 6 teeth served as controls. Perforations were made in pulpal floor using # 4 long round bur and low speed handpiece. Then the perforations were repaired with MTA, Super EBA or amalgam (15 of each). The access cavity was filled with the repair material in both Super HBA and amalgam groups. Amalgam was used for access cavity in MTA group. The teeth were kept in Oasis for 1 year. Then the teeth were immersed in methylene blue 2% for 48 hours for measuring ground and linear dye penetration. MTA showe d the least dye penetration (p<H05). Although amalgam showed the most mitroleakagc no statistically difference was found between Super EBA and amalgam.
