PERİODONTİTİS KARDİYOVASKÜLER HASTALIĞA NEDEN OLUR MU?

DOES PERIODONTITIS CAUSE CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE ?

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
It has been suggested that periodontitis can be risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Persistent infec¬tions like peridontitis may stimulate infectious and immune response and cause the development of atherogenesis, coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction. In this literature review similar immune and infectious mechanisms that take place in the develop¬ment of both periodontitis and cardiovascular disease and common predisposing factors have been dis¬cussed.
