Abstract (2. Language):
Thi& stud y investigated the fracture strength of repaired test specimens with heat-cured and autopolimerizing acrylic resin.TJiree repair joints were prepare d;Butt, round and Jap.The repaired and unrepaired specimens were tested immediately after the set of the material .after 28 days of dry storage,aiîd after 28 days ,7 days ,56 days.of wet storage at room temperature (20°C),Each repaired and unrepaired specimens were subjected to an increasing load with a Housefield electronic tension machine with a crosshead speed of 5 mmYmin. The analysis of" variance was used to test for differences in the four groups studied.Duncan test was performed to determine which values were significantly different.According to statistical data that we obtained from the study thai the repaired test specimens were weaker than those unrepaired and,me strength of repairs made with heat-cured acrylic resin were significantly greater than those with autopoly meri zing acrylic resin. The fractured specimens, from the 28 days wet storage group were demonstrated statistically similar strength in the 7 days wet group and significantly greater than those in the 56 days of wet storage and in the 28 days of dry storage.Thc strength of repairs made with round joint design was greater than those with butt and lap joint design, but this increas was not statistically significantThc results revealed thai repair material and storage method were effected on the transverse strength of repaired acrylic resin
