Purpose - comparative analysis of the Enlargement Policy of the European Union and the European Neighbourhood Policy. Design/methodology - comparative analysis, historical approach. Findings - determining the similarities and differences between the Enlargement Policy of the European Union and the European Neighbourhood Policy. Research limitations/implications - restricting access to data on measures implemented by partner- countries through the Enlargement Policy of the European Union and the European Neighbourhood Policy. Practical implications - expanding the relevant information database on characteristics of the European Union’s foreign economic policy. Originality/value – comparative and systematic analysis of the Enlargement Policy of the European Union and the European Neighbourhood Policy by different criteria.
