In this paper congestion avoidance and control issues and their results has been reviewed. Although, TCP versions, developed for wireless networks are presented and congestion avoidance and control protocols also reviewed. Open issues on congestion avoidance and control were presented as a result of the study.

Bu çalışmada, bilgisayar ağlarında tıkanıklıktan kaçınma ve tıkanıklık denetimi üzerine yapılmış çalışmalar ve sonuçları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, kablosuz ağlar için geliştirilmiş olan TCP sürümleri sunulmuş ve kablosuz ağlar için geliştirilen tıkanıklıktan kaçınma ve tıkanıklık denetimi protokolleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler neticesinde tıkanıklık denetimi ve giderilmesi konusundaki açık çalışma alanları ortaya konulmuştur.
