Abstract (2. Language):
The world has witnessed the liberalization wave in the second half of the 20th century. Turkey is also affected by this movement and in the economy instead of import substituting industrialization, export-oriented growth policy has been adopted. To this end many legal arrangements have been performed and export promotion programs have been implemented. In recent years, increasing export revenues are among the most important source of the economy’s income. However, if Turkey’s trade relations are examined it is seen that exports concentrate in a small number of countries and regions. At this point, to research the Turkey’s global trade potential gains importance. In this study, using a crosssectional gravity model, the factors which have influence upon Turkey’s global trade, and depending on coefficient estimates, the countries which premises potential expansion of trade were investigated.
