Abstract (2. Language):
According to a few of scholars who are in the opposite of the position taken by the Theologians, reasoning and inference does not guarantee the soundness of faith. Due to, man who reasons often falls into a mistake.
Schools of Islamic theology have the consensus on the view that maarifatullah (knowledge of God) is rational knowledge. Except for some Mutezilite who says maarifatullah is an a priori knowledge, theologians are in the opinion that implication and inference is obligatory on everyone who has reached the age of discretion.
Koran criticizes following blindly footsteps of forefathers and taqlîd (imitatively belief). So, reasoning that is the solely alternative of taqlîd is the only right way leading to maarifatullah. Besides, the degree of faith by the way of reasoning is a higher than that of uncritical acceptance.

Kelamcılara karşı çıkan bazı alimlere göre, akıl yürütme ve istidlal imanın sahihliğini garanti etmez. Çünkü, akıl yürütmede bulunanlar sık sık hata yapar.
Kelâm ekolleri ise marifetullâh'ın aklî olduğunda görüş birliğine varmıştır. Marifetullah'ın zarurî bilgi olduğunu söyleyen bazı Mutezilîler dışında kelamcılar, her akıl sahibi bireye Allah'ı bilmek için akıl yürütmenin vacip olduğunu söylerler.
Kur'an, kökü körüne atalarını takip etmeyi ve taklidî imanı tenkit eder. Bu nedenle, taklidin tek alternatifi olan akıl yürütme Allah'ı bilmenin yegane doğru yoludur. Ayrıca, akıl yürütme, taklit yoluyla imandan daha üstündür.
