Abstract (2. Language):
Nowadays, the rapid increase in industrialization and population has increased the water requirement. This requirement of water has forced people to find new water resources and to use available water resources optimally. In order to utilize the existing water resources in an optimum way, processes of the design and operation must be planned well. Also, especially during the management process, the deterioration of water quality by external factors should be prevented. If this situation is unavoidable, the necessary precautions must be taken in advance by making predictions for the future. One of the studies for these measurements is to examine the changes of the factors affecting water quality by making the trend analyses. In this study, it has been aimed to investigate the water quality in the current situation and changes of them with the trend analyses by using data about the water quality of Kurşunlu waterfall, Düden Streamflow and Karpuz Streamflow located in the Mid-Mediterranean Miscellaneous Waters. For trend analyses, trends have been aimed to determine with Mann-Kendall trend analysis, the Tendency test, Şen’s Graph test and statistical analyses formed basing on Şen’s Graph test. Also, it has been attempted to acquire the new water classes by the end of next 100 years by looking at the trend of the results gained in this study and the results below are reached. According to data of Karpuz Streamflow, it is appeared that there is no trend in sulphate value in spite of that increase in the values of pH and sodium. The decreasing value of the water hardness is quite remarkable. According to the results obtained by Düden Streamflow, as in the Karpuz Streamflow, there is an increase for pH and sodium values and there is a decrease in water hardness. Nevertheless, dramatical change is noticed for the sulphate value. The analyses carried out in Kurşunlu waterfall are similar to the results obtained by Karpuz brook. Generally considering the results of all the stations in the region, there is an obvious improvement in water quality. It seems that the alkalinity of water rises in the region where the sodium level rises and water hardness rate decreases. The majority of the results obtained from analyses were noticed to support each other. However, pH value results in Kurşunlu Waterfall and sodium values in Düden Streamflow are just not supported by Mann-Kendall test statistic. The result obtained with the trend test in analyses confirmed with Sen’s graph test and statistical test which formed basing on Sen’s graph test. Generally, Mann-Kendall trend analysis supports the result of this study. However, in some cases, there is a trend, that gave results below the 95% confidence interval. Besides, the other result is that the propensity of trends gathered from other analyses in Mann- Kendall test statistics are not fall below 80% confidence interval. Finally, according to water quality classification, water that has first quality in the present situation will not change the coming 100 years. However, increases in pH value can reduce third degree in this category classification.
