In this study, Mo was deposited on cast-iron substrates using air plasma spray system. The coated samples were characterized by optical microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), image analyzer (LUCIA) and microhardness. The results demostrated that Mo coatings possess porosity, unmelted particle, oxides and inclusion. It was also found that microhardness values of Mo coatings decreased from the edge of the coating to cast-iron matrix.

Bu çalışmada, dökme demir altlıklar plazma püskürtme yöntemi kullanılarak molibden ile kaplanmıştır. Kaplanmış numuneler, optik mikroskobu, taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM), X-Işınları difraktometresi (XRD), görüntü analiz cihazı (LUCIA) ve mikrosertlik cihazı ile karakterize edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, Mo kaplamaların porozite, ergimemiş, yarı-ergimemiş partikül, oksit ve inklüzyon içerdiğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca, mikrosertlik değerlerinin, kaplamadan altlığa doğru azaldığı tespit edilmiştir.
