Abstract (2. Language): 
Political parties at the European level are important as a factor of integration within the Union. They contribute to forming a European awereness and to expressing the political will of the citizens (Treaty on European Union, Article 138a). İt is also problematic, as these parties do not constitute a European party system above the article. The article traces the development of transnational cooperation link among the parties of the European Parliament form 1952 to days, illustrates that, from the earliest stages of European integration, organizational structure and norms that were transnational and supranational in style and represantion.

Avrupa Birliği (AB) Antlaşması’nın 138a maddesinde siyasi partiler, “Avrupa düzeyinde siyasal partiler Birlik’ te bütünleşme faktörü olarak önemlidirler. Avrupa bilincinin oluşturulmasına ve Birlik vatandaşlarının siyasal iradesini seslendirmeye katkıda bulunurlar” şeklinde düzenlenmiş ve böylece hukuksal statü kazanmışlardır. Bu maddeye dayanarak 1990’lı yıllara kadar zaten Avrupa Parlamentosunda ulusal siyasi partilerin temsilcilerinin ve hükümetlerce atanan üyelerinin Avrupa politikalarını belirlemek için oluşturmuş oldukları parti aileleri/birlikleri, 1993 yılında imzalanan AB Anlaşması ile ulus-üstü bir partinin çatısı altında birleşmek durumunda kalmışlardır. Demokratik hayatın vazgeçilmezleri olarak siyasi partiler, AB’nin gelişim süreci boyunca ve bu sürece yönelik olarak geliştirdikleri politikalar nedeniyle ilgi çekmektedirler. Gerek AB’de gerekse Türkiye’de siyasi partilere yönelik birçok araştırma yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, farklı olarak AB politikalarının belirlendiği AP’ deki siyasi faaliyetleri yerine getiren Avrupa partileri ele alınacaktır.
