Supply chain management (SCM) is a new strategic business model aiming to integrate firms’ different competencies and critical business processes to increase performance and decrease structural and operational uncertainty at supply chain level. Final aim of SCM is to compete with other supply chains. The aim of this paper is to examine and test the conceptual relationships between SCM applications and elements of the organizational structure such as decentralization, formal performance control, specialization and integration. Findings of the research could be helpful in guiding business managers who want carry out SCM applications to form organizational structure.

Tedarik Zinciri Yönetimi (TZY) bir ürünün arzında çeşitli roller üstlenmiş firmaların kendilerine özgü yeteneklerinin ve kritik iş süreçlerinin tedarik zinciri boyunca bütünleşik yönetimi yoluyla performansı arttırmayı, yapısal ve operasyonel belirsizliği azaltmayı ve sonuç olarak şirketler arası rekabetten tedarik zincirleri arası rekabete geçmeyi hedefleyen yeni bir stratejik çalışma modelidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı TZY uygulamaları ve örgütsel yapının yerinden yönetim, formel performans kontrolü, uzmanlaşma ve bütünleşme boyutları arasındaki kavramsal ilişkiyi incelemek ve test etmektir. Bulguların TZY uygulamalarını gerçekleştirmek isteyen işletme yöneticilerine örgütsel yapıyı düzenleme konusunda yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
