Abstract (2. Language):
The main purpose of the school is to provide education services for a specific age group. School
management is responsible for the school’s goals. The creation of a strong and influental school
culture depends on the joint efforts of the school administrator and the teachers. If the teachers are
thought to have some responsibilities to the school administrators, the managers’ views on the
teachers become important. The purpose of this research is to examine the opinions of school
administrators about what kind of teachers they want. This research has been conducted by survey
model. Population of the research is formed by school administrators in public and private primary
schools in different districts of Ankara province in 2014-2015 academic year. As for the research
sample, it is formed by 58 school administrators chosen by means of random sampling method in
public and private primary schools in different districts of Ankara province. Survey developed by
teachers was used in the research. According to the data obtained in the study, it is important for the
school admnistrators that the teachers’ personal and professional characteristics, selfless attitudes and
behaviours, act in accordance with laws, regulations, principles and rules, and develop themselves. On
the other hand, school administrators stated that communicating positively and constructively with
teachers, parents and students have a critical importance.

Okulun temel amacı, hizmet ettiği yaş grubuna yönelik eğitim hizmetini sağlamaktır. Okulun
amaçlarının gerçekleştirilmesinden ise okul yönetimi sorumludur. Güçlü ve etkili bir okul kültürünün
oluşturulması, okul yöneticisi ve öğretmenlerin ortak çabasına bağlıdır. Öğretmenlerin okul
yöneticilerine karşı da bazı sorumluluklarının olduğu düşünülürse, yöneticilerin öğretmenlere yönelik
görüşleri önem kazanır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin nasıl öğretmenler istediklerini
belirlemektir. Tarama modeline göre gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmanın evrenini 2014-2015 eğitimöğretim
yılında, Ankara ilindeki resmi ve özel okullarda görev yapan okul yöneticileri oluşturmaktadır.
Araştırmanın örneklemini ise Ankara ilinin farklı ilçelerindeki resmi ve özel okullarda tesadüfi örnekleme
yöntemi ile seçilen 58 okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen
anket kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin; kişisel ve mesleki özellikleri ile özverili tutum
ve davranışları, yasa, yönetmelik, ilke ve kurallara uygun davranmaları ve kendilerini geliştirmelerinin
okul yöneticileri tarafından önemsendiği tespit edilmiştir. Diğer yandan okul yöneticileri; öğretmenlerle,
velilerle ve öğrencilerle olumlu ve yapıcı iletişim kurmanın kritik bir öneme sahip olduğunu
belirtmişlerdir
