Abstract (2. Language):
Depending on the rapidly improving techology, information Technologies have started to play a crucial
role accross the globe. İn this sector, there has always been a need for gifted technical staff who are
able to keep up with this quick improvement. İn this research, we examined what South Anatolia
region information sector expects from the graduated students of the vocation schools and how these
graduated students may contribute to this sector. İf we are able to transform the region into the
information society, it would help that region to enhance economically and socially. For this reason,
we disscussed about the issues with the firms that operate in the region. İn addition to that, we
conducted a detailed survey and we determined what the basic needs are in the region. Also, we
decided what the expectations of these firms from graduated vocation school students are. Our
survey, which is sent to fourty companies, is made up of twenty questions.
We evaluated the results and we draw some statistical conclusions from these results. As a result, we
realized that there is a great deal of need for gifted techical staff who are eligible for developing
software. Therefore, we deduce that graduated students from vocation schools are not able to meet
the needs for the software development. Hence, it is resulted that these companies would need to
obtain these employers out of the region.

Büyük bir hızla değişim gösteren dünyamızın evrensel gelişme aracı bilişim teknolojileri olmuştur.
Sektörde bu hızlı değişime ayak uyduran kalifiyeli teknik elemanlara olan ihtiyaç sürekli artmaktadır.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinde ki bilişim sektörünün Meslek Yüksekokulu
Bilgisayar Teknolojileri Bölümü mezunlarından beklentileri ve katkıları araştırılmıştır. Bölgenin bilişim
toplumuna dönüşümün gerçekleşebilmesi, bölge ve bölge insanına ekonomik ve sosyal katkı
sağlayacaktır. Bölgedeki sektörle ilgili firmalarla görüşülüp ve anketler düzenlenerek sektör ve bölgenin
ihtiyaçları değerlendirilip meslek yüksekokulu mezunu öğrencilerinden beklentilerinin neler olduğu
tespit edilmiştir. Toplam 19 sorudan oluşan anket 40 firma yetkilisine yöneltilmiştir.
Çalışma sonuçlarından istatistiksel veriler elde edilerek sonuçlar değerlendirilerek yorumlanmıştır.
Sektöre uygun yazılım geliştirebilecek teknik elemanlara ihtiyaç duyulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Meslek
yüksekokulu mezunlarının ihtiyaçları karşılayacak düzeyde yazılım üretemediği ve sektördeki firmaların
bu hizmetleri dışarıdan temin etmek zorunda kaldıkları belirlenmiştir.
