Abstract (2. Language):
Work is the chain of events in nature and it occurs generally in the appearance
of social phenomena. However, in order to consider a certain phenomena as a
work, the features of that work must be special in accordance with the interpretations of the others. In other words, to take into account a certain type of event as
a work, free type activity or both, the time, place and the special conditions are of
great significance. From this perspective, it can be stated that the breaking point
of the concept of “work” is the Industrial Revolutions itself. To put in another way,
so as to analyze the importance of work concept, the main important thing is to
evaluate the occurrence of Industrial Revolution as pre-industrial Age, industrial age, and post-industrial age. In pre-industrial age, the concept of work is associated with natural work, work in fields, in industrial age, it is mentioned with
the process of fabrication, and in post-industrial age it is directly related with the
knowledge and technology.

Çalişma, doğada cereyan eden olaylar zinciri ve genellikle sosyal bir olgunun
varliğinda ortaya çikar. Fakat herhangi bir sosyal olgunun iş olarak ele alinabilmesi için öncelikle üstlenildiği şartlarin özel olmasi gerekmekte ve bu şartlar
ve olgularin diğerleri tarafindan yorumlanma şekli oldukça önem kazanmaktadir.
Dolayisiyla herhangi bir olgunun iş, boş zaman aktivitesi ya da her ikisi veya hiç-
biri şeklinde değerlendirilmeye tabi tutulmasi için o olgunun gerçekleştiği zaman,
mekân ve sosyal şartlarin göz önüne alinmasi da gerekmektedir. Bu açidan çalişma kavraminin yaşadiği kirilma noktalarina bakildiğinda bu kirilma noktasinin başlangicinin Sanayi Devrimi olduğu söylenebilir. Başka bir ifadeyle çalişma
kavramini sistematik olarak incelemek için endüstri öncesi, endüstriyel ve endüstri sonrasi döneme bakmak faydali olacaktir. Endüstri öncesi dönemde doğal
yaşamla özdeşleşen çalişma kavrami, endüstriyel dönemde önce fabrika daha
sonra teknoloji ve bilgi kavramlariyla beraber kullanilmaya başlanmiştir.
