Testicular Epidermoid Cyst: A Case Report

Recently testicular lesions have been seen more frequently because of the widespread using of ultrasonography in urological practice. Radiologically testicular lesions are hypoechoic in appearance and approximately 1 % of them are epidermoid cysts. Here 21-year-old patient with testicular mass is presented. On physical examination, 1 cm mass was found in the right testis with smooth surface and same consistency with testicular parenchyma. After orchiectomy, lesion was evaluated as epidermoid cyst histopathologically. Clinical and pathological features are discussed with the literature.

Ultrasonografinin üroloji pratiğinde kullanımının yaygınlaşması sonucu testiküler lezyonlarla daha sık karşılaşılmaktadır. Genellikle hipoekoik görünümde olan bu lezyonların yaklaşık % 1'ini epidermoid kistler oluşturur. Burada testiküler kitlesi olan 21 yaşındaki hasta sunulmaktadır. Fizik muayenesinde sağ testis alt polünde sınırları düzgün, testisle aynı kıvamda ve yaklaşık 1 cm çapında kitle palpe edilen hastaya orşiektomi sonrası histopatolojik olarak epidermoid kist tanısı verildi. Olgunun klinik ve patolojik özellikleri literatür bilgileri eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.
