Abstract (2. Language):
Although a significant number of studies concerning acute rumen acidosis have been conducted so far, there is a paucity of information on latent acidotic stress. This study was therefore carried out to provide literature knowledge about the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this disease which is prevalent and economically significant in cattle, particularly dairy cattle, industry.

Günümüzde akut rumen asidozu konusunda çok sayıda çalışmalar yapılmasına karşılık, latent asidotik stres hakkında bilgilerimiz çok yeterli değildir. Bu nedenle sığır yetiştiriciliğinde, özellikle sütçü sığırlar için yaygın ve ekonomik açıdan önemli bir problem olan bu hastalığın etiyoloji, patogenez, semptomlar, diyagnoz, tedavi ve profilaksisi konularında son literatür bilgiler özetlenmiştir.
