Abstract (2. Language):
In the research, the effect of different initial live weights in ewes on their milk yields, milk components, and live weights of their lambs were investigated in two years and 21 Karayaka sheep. The research was conducted in three periods (1st, 4th and 10th week) until weaning. The heavier sheep have higher mean milk yields (P<0.05) than light sheep, in 1st and 4th week, but no significant differences in milk protein, calcium and phosphorus were found between groups in all period. The lambs of heavier ewes had higher live weights than those of light ewes for all period. Milk fat contents were higher at heavier than light groups in 10th week (P<0.05). The heavier ewes showed significantly lower milk urea nitrogen levels in 1st and 4th week (P<0.05).
