In Today’s rapidly changing competitive social environment, pressing firmly on the ground, at the long-term succesful performance of organizations and in using resources effectively and in an optimum way have become quite difficult. In order to realize this, notions of servant leadership, has recently attracted attention, holding an important place in the field of organizational management. As long as servant leadership displays notional similarities with other important leadeship theories like transformational, ethical, charismatic and leader-member-exchange (LMX), it differs with growing, developing and building community of its followers by putting into forward its focus on their needs privately. In this context, teachers’ perceptions and kinds of their behaviors who lead to social change, the most important cornerstones at function of educational organizations whose stuff and input and output are human beings and at the achieving these goals are important. The purpose of this study is to provide new suggestions by investigating the effects of servant leadership behaviors on education employees in the light of previous studies.

Günümüzün hızla değişen rekabetçi çevresinde örgütlerin ayakları üzerine sağlam basarak uzun soluklu başarılı performans sergilemeleri ve kaynaklarını etkili ve optimum kullanmaları oldukça zorlaşmıştır. Bunu gerçekleştirmede, hizmetkâr liderlik kavramı son zamanlarda örgüt yönetimi alanında önemli bir yer tutarak dikkat çekmektedir. Hizmetkâr liderlik, diğer önemli liderlik teorileri olan dönüştürücü, etik, karizmatik ve lider-üye etkileşimli (LMX) liderlikle kavramsal örtüşme gösterse de, takipçilerinin ve paydaşlarının ihtiyaçlarına özel olarak odaklanıp, büyümesi, gelişimi ve yetiştirilmesine yardımcı olmayı öne çıkarmasıyla, diğer liderlik yapılarından farklılık gösterir. Bu bağlamda, toplumsal değişime yön veren, hammaddesi, girdisi ve çıktısı insan olan eğitim örgütlerinin işlevi ve onların bu hedeflerini gerçekleştirmede en önemli mihenk taşı olan öğretmenlerin algılamaları ve davranış biçimleri önem arz etmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, hizmetkâr liderlik davranışlarının eğitim çalışanları üzerindeki etkisini şimdiye kadar yapılmış araştırmalar ışığında ortaya koyup farklı öneriler geliştirmektir.
