Endodontic retreatment

Abstract (2. Language):
Preparation of teeth with curved and narrow root canals is more difficult than those with smooth and wide root canals. An inappropriate root canal preparation may result in the failure of the canal treatment. If the previous root canal treatment has failed for any reason, it is possible to recover the teeth by endodontic retreatment. Retreatment means repairing and obturation of the root canal space regardless of the technique used. The objective of this review is to give information on the diagnosis and treatment plan for the retreatment of the cases with unsuccessful root canal treatment and retreatment application techniques.
