Abstract (2. Language): 
The purpose of this study is to investigate the area of 'genre analysis' which became very popular in recent years, its definitions and limitations together with some example studies carried out in this area. In this study, the different orientations in genre analysis and the steps to be followed in analysing unfamiliar genres will also be mentioned.

Bu çalışmanın amacı son yıllarda çok popüler olan 'tür çözümlemesi' kavramını açıklamak, kapsam ve sınırlarını belirlemek ve bu alanda yapılmış çalışmalardan örnekler vermektir .Bu araştırmada ayrıca tür çözümlemesinde farklı yönelimler ve yaygın olmayan türlerin çözümlenmesinde gerekli olan aşamalardan da söz edilecektir
