Abstract (2. Language):
The study has been carried out in order to examine the attitudes of stedents toward teaching profession in the Department of Physical Education and Sports in Educational Faculty. In the evaluation process, Askar and Erden's "The Attitudes Scale Toward Teaching Profession" was used. 10 item scale was given to 216 student in the department. It has been provided that these is a significant relationship between the attitudes of the students toward teaching profession and sex, mother's job, department preferance priority, and the reasons of department preferance. On the other hand, there is no statistically meaningful relationship between the attitudes of the students towards teaching profession and the attending class. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Beden Eğitimi öğretmeni adaylarının mesleğe yönelik tutumlarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada, Aşkar ve Erden (1987) tarafından geliştirilen "C^retmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği" kullanılmış ve 216 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, öğretmen adaylarının mesleğe yönelik tutumlarının, cinsiyete, anne mesleğine, bölüm tercih sırası ve bölüm tercih nedenlerine göre değiştiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Buna karşın, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlar, öğrencilerin sınıflarına, mezun oldukları lise tipine, lise bitirme derecesine, baba mesleğine, anne-baba eğitimlerine ve ailede öğretmen bulunma durumuna göre farklılaşmamaktadır.
