Abstract (2. Language): 
Since human beingfound the fire and passed from the gathering to hunting, simultaneously he communicated with the nature and he treated his environment of which he thought he could take its advantages unlimitedly very roughly. However, today in the age of capitalist relations of production, after the destruction of years exercised on nature for thousands, the pressure on species and ecosystems have changed qualifications and have been globalized. The industrial revolution caused ravages so that it could have made way for vanishing species, and destruction of not only micro ecosystems but also macro ecosystems and even world ecosystem. Therefore,, the question of the possibility of sustainable development in conditions of capitalist accumulation is an appropriate question in this context. In this article, we adopted the definition of sustainable development as described in Our Common Future Report and accepted an ideal goal to be achieved. In light of Schumpeter's analysis of capitalism as a "process of creative destruction", possibilities, possible signs and limitations of an ecological renewal will be investigated in this study.

İnsanoğlu ateşi bulduktan ve toplayıcılıktan avcılığa geçtiği andan itibaren doğayla aktif bir iletişime geçmiş ve bulunduğu her yerde sınırsızca yararlanabileceğini düşündüğü çevresine alabildiğine hoyrat davranmıştır. Ancak, on binlerce yıl boyunca yarattığı tahribat, kapitalist ilişkiler çağına gelindiğinde birden nitelik değiştirmiş, türler ve ekosistemler üzerindeki baskı kitlesel hale gelmiştir. Sanayi devrimiyle birlikte ortaya çıkan etkiler ise türleri yok edecek, sadece mikro değil makro ekosistemleri de etkileyecek boyuta ulaşmıştır. Bu durumda "kapitalist birikim şartlarında sürdürülebilir kalkınma idealinin gerçekleştirilip gerçekleştirilemeyeceği" yeterince anlamlı ve yerinde bir sorudur. Bu makalede sürdürülebilir kalkınma Ortak Geleceğimiz raporundaki tanım çerçevesinde ve ulaşılması gereken bir ideal olarak ele alınmış, Schumpeter'in kapitalizmi canlı kılan etmenler analizinden hareketle günümüzde hüküm süren kapitalist birikim şartları değişmeden, "yaratıcı yıkım süreci olarak" ekolojik bir yenilenmenin işaretlerinin/olanaklarının/sınırlılıklarının neler olabileceği, kavrama getirilen eleştiriler de göz önüne bulundurularak araştırılmıştır.
