Abstract (2. Language):
Pilonidal sinus is a well known disease and has different of treatment options. Since it is mostly seen in young adults, it usually causes working days lost. The ideal results haven’t been reached yet by any treatment method. Ideal treatment should be easily applicable and have a low complication rate. Medical treatment options are sclerotherapy, cryosurgery, and collagenase application. In surgical treatment; open methods such as excision and to lay open, marsupialization, incision and curettage, or closed methods such as vertical excision and primary closure, oblique excision and primary closure, Karydakis procedure, rhomboid excision and Limberg procedure, plastic prosedures have been used. Surgical treatments (especially flap methods) are widely preferred.
