Abstract (2. Language):
In this research, effects of not only acute cold stress treatment but also epinephrine administration, used as a treatment peptide, on some serum components were investigated comparatively. According to the analysis results, it was measured that there was a decrease in the level of serum total protein and cholesterol but there was an increase in the level of triglyceride and glucose in rat groups that were exposed to cold stress and epinephrine administration. Therefore, exogenous epinephrine treatment (1 mg/kg) and cold stress application in 48 hours at 8 °C effect carbohydrate and lipid metabolism on rats. Thus, this can be evaluated as an implication that homeostatic balance might be conserved.
