Abstract (2. Language):
In this paper, the concept of second nature, declares that it is an important component of ethics. This concept
initiated by Aristotle, also considered by many thinkers as Cicero, St. Augustin, St. Thomas, Rousseau, Hegel.
When this concept was first used, has been witness to many meaning changes-conversions in history, while an
ethos component. This concept, which can not find enough space in our country's own academic work,will be
discussed in the framework of comparative views of some thinkers in this paper. Neverthless, the choosen
philosopher in the development of history of ideas, will be made illustrate and will be a critical outcome of the
discussion.

Bu çalışma, ikinci doğa kavramının, etiğin önemli bir bileşeni olduğunu açıklamak istemektedir. Aristoteles ile
başlatılan bu kavram, Cicero, Saint Augustin, Saint Thomas, Rousseau, Hegel gibi pek çok düşünür tarafından
ele alınmıştır. Bu kavram ilk kullanıldığında bir ethos bileşeni iken, tarih içerisinde pek çok anlam değişmesidönüşmesine
tanık olmuştur. Ülkemiz akademik çalışmaları içerisinde kendine yeterince yer bulamayan bu
kavrama, bu çalışma içerisinde bazı düşünürlerin karşılaştırmalı görüşleri çerçevesinde değinilecektir. Bununla
birlikte kavramın, düşünce tarihindeki gelişimine dair seçilen filozoflardan örneklendirmelerde bulunulacak ve
tartışmaya eleştirel bir sonuç getirilecektir.
