Nowadays, adjustment problems on balance of paymentsoccurring in many developing countries cause the countries to concentrate on studies for improving their exports and take precautions in this direction. In this respect, the countries at the beginning of the period for improving their expert focus on their research of how some countries improved their export, reach this success and try to improve their export taking some precautions on the bases of application.One of the precautions realized in developed and developing countries is export credit insurance application. In the light of this thought, the paper explores export credit insurance applications and programs applied by Turk-Eximbank for the development of export in Turkey. Finally, the development of export credit insurance application in USA and South Korea is compared to provide evidence on the results obtained.

Günümüzde, bir çok gelişmekte olan ülkede ortaya çıkan ödemeler dengesi sorunları, ülkeleri ihracatlarını geliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalar üzerinde yoğunlaşmalarına ve bu yönde tedbirler almalarına neden olmuştur. Bu bağlamda ihracatını geliştirme sürecinin başında olan ülkeler, ihracatını geliştirmişbazı ülkelerin bu başarıya nasıl ulaştıkları konusunda araştırmalarını yoğunlaştırarak, uygulamaya yönelik bazı tedbirler alarak ihracatlarını geliştirmeye çalışmaktadırlar. Gelişmişve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde uygulanan tedbirlerden birisi de İhracat Kredi Sigortası Uygulamasıdır. Bu düşünceden hareketle çalışmada, Türkiye’de ihracatın geliştirilmesine yönelik olarak Türk Eximbank tarafından uygulanan İhracat Kredi Sigortası Uygulaması ele alınmış, İhracat Kredi Sigortası Uygulamasının gelişimi ABD ve Güney Kore ile karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmişve elde edilen sonuçlar üzerinden bazı öneriler getirilmiştir.
